14 Weeks- 2nd Trimester :)

"Posted by Joe"

I'm feeling pretty good this week, still eating a lot, but that's pretty normal.  My pants are getting pretty tight.  Do they make maternity pants for men?  I'm trying to do whatever Sarah tells me, but that's pretty normal too.  No cravings yet, but really enjoying my daily beers after work.  Bedtime is a little earlier; almost 10:30.  Don't know if I should tell Sarah she looks like she packing on some pounds, but I'm sure she can tell herself, just waiting on her to admit it.  Preparing for the baby by taking Zoe outside 3 times a night.  Don't know how much more I'll be able to help Ron out at the lake lot because all this heavy lifting is taking a toll on my back.  It weird though because people at work tell me "I'm glowing".  What's that all about?  Well that's about all for now, Sarah is about to give me a foot massage.  Can't wait to try out my new body pillow tonight.

13 Weeks

Happy Birthday to Uncle Mark last week (March 13).

Happy Birthday to Aunt Drè yesterday (March 21).

Congratulations to Aunt Courtney for passing her nursing exam.

This is my last week in my 1st Trimester.  Pretty crazy to believe I am almost 1/3 of the way done.  I know the best is yet to come however.  There is no baby bump yet, sorry to disappoint those of you who are wanting to see a picture of "the bump." Most people in the family seem to think we are having a boy, but who knows.  We still have 3 weeks until we find that out.

So, instead of boring you this week with how I'm feeling I thought I'd post some pictures of things I like.

Here is my favorite girl bedding (so far)...

Here is my favorite boy bedding (so far)...

12 Weeks

Joe and I went to the doctor today.  Everything went well.  We got to hear the heartbeat again.  The Dr. said it was 150- 155 beats per minute.  Joe said it sounded like a boy and the doctor said he was feeling boy also, but he's only 50% accurate.  Ha ha.

Still feeling pretty good.  I think the nausea may be a thing of the past (hopefully).  My goal is to get back to the gym this week.

11 Weeks

Hopefully I am not jinxing myself by saying I may have turned the corner at week 11.  The past few nights I’ve stayed up till at least 8:30 and the nausea has eased up a bit.  I hope this is a sign of good things to come.

We had a great time shopping in Charlotte this past weekend with GG (Gina), Grammy (Billie Rae), and MiMi (Patti).  It is no lie that this child will be loved and maybe a tad bit spoiled.  I’ve been researching lots of different types and brands of strollers, monitors, high chairs, bottles, etc.  It is quite overwhelming.  It is amazing how much stuff this baby needs (or so they say).  How did parents do this 25-50 years ago?  Haha!

We go back to the doctor next week on Tuesday, March 15th.  I will update after that :)

10 Weeks

Well the morning/afternoon/evening sickness is back in full force.  It is worse in the evenings, so I've decided lunch needs to be my biggest/most nutritious meal of the day because I'm lucky to eat anything other than crackers or cereal at night.  I don't want to wish my weeks aways, but I'd really love to feel better soon and get a little bit of energy back.

We met with our realtor last night and our house is going on the market March 11th.  Send good vibes to our future buyers.  Hopefully it will sell quick (fingers crossed).
