9 Weeks

The baby is now the size of a grape. He/she is growing more and more each week.  The picture to the right is finally starting to resemble a human instead of an alien or seahorse.

I am feeling better, but soooooo much more tired.  My previous 8:45ish bedtime has now moved to 7:30ish.  When 7:00 rolls around I feel like I hit a wall and just cannot bounce back.  Dinner is still questionable.  I feel bad for Joe because I have not cooked dinner in forever, but I don't feel like eating a meal at the end of the day, so my dinner usually consists of easy mac, cereal, Eggo waffles, or cinnamon raisin toast (not all of them together though) and of course everything comes with a big ol' kosher dill pickle.  Joe and I have always had pickles in the house, but it's used to really only be him eating them.

For Valentines Day Joe and I went to The Village Tavern for dinner.  We have one less than a mile from our home, but we went to the one across town.  This was where we had our first date many moons ago.  I got Joe two onesies (one boy and one girl) that say, "I Love My Daddy."  Joe was very thoughtful and got me a Pandora bracelet with the cutest baby buggy charm.  It was so sweet.

8 Weeks

Well we finally went to the doctor today and everything went great!!  He said the baby's heart was very strong at about 160 beats per minute.  It was so great seeing it on the screen and seeing the heart beating.  I might be biased, but it had to be the cutest kidney bean shaped figure ever!!!  Yes, there is only one (thank goodness)!!  Don't worry he looked all around in there looking for another one.  He said it measured 8 weeks and 1 day, so the ticker to the right is one day off, just FYI.  I had a bunch of lab work done and they said they'd call me if they had any concerns about anything else.  We go back March 15th for another check-up.  It's beginning to feel much more real now.  DUE DATE: September 26th.

7 Weeks

Well, the baby has doubled in size since last week and is now the size of a blueberry or raspberry, so that's exciting.  The morning sickness/evening sickness has gotten better since this weekend.  I may have had a slight stomach bug, but probably not.  I am still very tired when I get home from school.   Some nights I feel like I can go to bed at 6:30, but I try to stay downstairs until 8:00.  Most nights I go upstairs around 8:00 and fall asleep watching t.v.  I lead such an exciting life, I know!

We are getting very excited about our first doctor's appointment on Tuesday of next week.  We go at 1:40, so I hope to post all the details that evening.  I really hope to hear the heartbeat and see the lil' berry on the monitor.  Hopefully we'll get to take home pictures too :)
