One Year Photoshoot

Avery had her 1 year photo shoot by our fabulous photographer friend, Emily, of Emily5Photography.  She did my maternity shoot and Avery's newborn pictures.  She did Laila and Grayson's newborn sessions as well.  Needless to say she knows our family pretty well now.

The shoot started at 8:00am with a family session.  Avery was fussy and hardly gave us any smiles.  Mommy was stressing out and getting flustered.  We brought her inside and let her play some and eat a few goldfish crackers.  Then we had our 1st wardrobe change into her ruffled romper I purchased on Etsy along with a strand of my grandmother's pearls.  These shots are going to be priceless.  The "fancy" outfit paired with the mossy rocks outside was a perfect combo.  I could tell Avery was "done" and needed a nap ASAP. Emily was soooo nice to agree to come back after her nap.

Avery woke up rested and ready to go.  She was FULL of laughs, giggles, dance move, baby babbles and smiles.  We took some more family photos in her turtle smocked outfit and she was a perfect angel.  THEN came the balloons and smash cake.  SO.MUCH.FUN.  I cannot wait to relive this experience at her 1st birthday party.  After she smashed and smeared cake all over the place we placed her in a basin of bubbly water.  She was a total ham.  I am so excited to see the photos. We had an excellent day.  An extra thanks to my Aunt Toni, Grammy and Mom for acting like total fools singing and dancing trying to get our little girl to smile.  Thank goodness no pictures or videos were taken of that.
