30 Weeks

Happy Birthday Aunt Mary (July 19)!!!

Hurray!  We finally got Internet and cable installed yesterday.  Oh happy day.  I am so out of the loop on everything.  JLo and Mark are divorcing? Wowza...

I went to the doctor again this week and all is well.  My weight and blood pressure remained the same, so I can be thankful of that.  I know more weight is sure to come in the next few weeks, but I've been very lucky to only put on 5 pounds so far.  Sounds crazy, but my doctor is perfectly fine with it and the baby is very healthy, so what more could I ask for. 

Joe and I are settling in more and more each day.  Zoe has been adjusting nicely.  My dad and Joe installed a "doggy door" for her from the garage to the backyard.  It is so nice not to have to take her our a leash throughout the day.  My mom and Grammy came over today to help clean the house now that we have just about everything in its place.  We still have a few random boxes in the basement, but not much at all.  My neighborhood is having a yard sale Saturday, so I've priced a few totes of household items to get rid of.  Hopefully someone will buy it or else I'll be making a big trip to Goodwill.

Big, big, big plans for next week.  My aunts friend Chris is coming Monday and Tuesday to paint a mural in Avery's bedroom.  I am so excited to see how everything turns out.  I know it will be amazing.  And anyone who knows my family knows this nursery is going to be over the top adorable :)  

No new pictures to post this week, but next week I will have plenty to share of the painting. Funtimes :)

29 Weeks

Happy Anniversary GiGi and Pop Pop (July 12th)!!

I'm very late with this post because we've been without Internet and cable since we moved into the new house.  I'm in Pennsylvania for the weekend, so now I can update. We love, love, love everything about the house and we can't wait to get 100% settled.  We have been so lucky to have soooo much help from our family moving in, unpacking, fixin' up, installing, decorating and organizing.  Here are a few pictures.



28 Weeks- 3rd Trimester :)

The closing of the house went smoothly last week and we successfully got the keys Thursday afternoon.  My grandmother, mom and I worked Thursday and Friday prepping the house for move-in day.  Joe and I drove to the beach Friday evening and will be here until Thursday.  We've been relaxing and spending time with the Ellington clan.  It's hard to relax completely knowing what lies ahead of us this weekend with moving into the new house, but we are excited to get settled in.  While Joe and I have been here in Swansboro my mom and dad have graciously brought the rest of our belongings that were being stored in their house and garage to our new home.  Grammy has painted the baby girl's room.  Joe and I are so lucky to have all the help prepping the house as well as all the family that is coming in town to help us move this weekend.  I promise to post more pictures of the house sometime next week. 

Here is a picture of the cabinet from Ikea that I don't even want to admit how many hours it took me and my grandmother to put together, but WE DID IT :)

27 Weeks

Avery is kicking and moving around more and more each day.  Sunday night she had hiccups (I think) for the first time and that was pretty interesting. Joe felt her move Sunday night for the 1st time :)   Friday (after Joe gets off work) we leave for the beach for the 4th of July weekend and most of the following week.  We are looking forward to a relaxing week before we dive in head-first into moving, unpacking, and setting up our new home.

This is dad's Father's Day present :)

We spent another great weekend at the lake celebrating Hillary and Andrew's engagement on Saturday and Father's Day on Sunday. 

25 Weeks

"Schoooooooooooool's out for SUMMER!!!!!!"

I'm not excited about that or anything :)  It has actually been a good school year.  I had some really sweet kids and great parental support.  I hope to be that lucky next year, especially with me going out on maternity leave.

This past weekend we celebrated mom's and Susan's 50th birthdays at the lake.  Somehow we managed to pull off a surprise party and for anyone who knows Gina, you know that is not an easy task.  It was a great day.  This weekend we will be heading out to the lake again.  We will be celebrating Hillary and Andrew's engagement Saturday night at Andrew's parents house on the lake.  I am looking forward to catching up with Sarah W and Hillary.  The summer is always so busy for everyone.

Next week I go to the doctor next Thursday, so I probably won't update the blog until after that.  I have my glucose screening, so hopefully all goes well with that.

24 weeks

Happy 30th Birthday Aunt Nicki :)

We went to the doctor yesterday for another ultrasound.  Avery's head was down, but her back is facing up so he was unable to see her aorta arch and her umbilical cord.  SO- we have to have another one in 2 weeks.  I don't mind seeing her again :)  I have to go to the doctor every 2 weeks now.  That seems crazy to me, but that's what everyone does.

We had a great weekend in Swansboro.  Patti, Mary, Nicki, Aunt Mary, and Sue planned a wonderful baby shower for us. It was very obviously how loved this little girl is already.   We had great weather and a great visit with friends and family.
